    ~Catch Up~ updated

I missed 5 squares when I updated Jenn's pages today - I have fixed my error - thanks for letting me know :)
    Hi Eveyone,

First I'd like to apologize for my absence from the Blog World. Life has gotten a bit out of hand for me lately and the few times that I had the opportunity to put up a post, I sat in front of the computer, stared at it blankly and ended up walking away. I can't put into words my blog block, I guess I'll just have to chalk it up to life in general. I'd also like to thank those of you that have sent me emails "checking up on me", I can't tell you how much they touched my heart, and I promise to answer each and every one of you as soon as I can. I also would like to apologize for my lack of comments on your blogs, I have read very little and I hope my lack of comments will be forgiven. I promise to be better!

We had a nice Christmas with friends and family, although my Mom's health continues its decline, we at least got her here for a few hours and she seemed to enjoy herself.

Matt was home for a month which always lifts my spirits! He had his wisdom teeth out - all four of them - and recovered quickly.

Lyss turned 18 on New Year's Day, it just doesn't seem possible that she is already 18! She has received acceptance letters from all of the colleges she applied to and has received an invitation from one of them to apply to their Honors Scholars Program - quite an honor! She is now working on a new essay for that and gearing up for the coming softball season. Nicole and Emily are playing softball for the indoor league and enjoying it along with all of their other activities.

The work situation is improving as the old boss has left (was asked to leave) and an interim boss has taken her place. We are slowly picking up the pieces and healing from the nightmare we lived through for 18 months. It's amazing that while you are living through a hell like that you don't notice the toll it has taken on you until the stress is gone.

There has been knitting happening - I'll post about that soon with some pictures. I've been a fickle knitter this past month, working on different things - it has been fine actually having a bunch of different projects going, some big some small, but a distraction nonetheless. Matt and his roommate came down this past weekend to work on a project, so that was fun - lots of food, lots of laundry and a lot of laughs - quite a healing proposition!

Jenn Update: I received more squares over the last weeks and have updated the "Comfort Knitters" page and the "Images of Squares Received" page. If I have missed someone or made an error, please let me know. Thank you so much for taking the time to knit and send these lovely squares, I believe I now have 50 squares. I don't want to put off this blanket much longer, so I will begin putting together what I have received so far and hope that I can get the number up to 64 before I'm finished. Do any of you have any suggestions on the best way to put this blanket together: i.e., crochet the squares together, stitch them together, three needle them together? Any input would be very much appreciated. I spoke with Jenn this week, she spent Christmas overseas with her brother (he is in the service) and his family and I think it did her good to get away for a bit, however, she has lost her grandpa this past week, yet another sadness. Please keep her in your prayers. I just KNOW this blanket will be a warm and soothing comfort to her and I want to get it to her as soon as I can.
I hope you are all well and enjoyed your holidays! I have missed everyone one of you!
