~Back among the living~
Hi everyone, I am still alive. I have been totally flattened by what I can only assume is the flu. High fever, body aches, chills, sweats and a headache that made me wish I were no longer among the living! I managed to drag myself to work on Wednesday because of things that HAD to get done and that did me in for the rest of the week. I can't remember when I missed almost a full week of work and a weekend too! My head hurt so much that no knitting was even considered, although I picked up the needles today and knit the thumbs on the peekaboo mittens I finished a week ago and worked a bit on my log cabin blanket. I haven't made it to any of the girl's games and thankfully Matt got a ride home from school because a trip to Vermont and back was out of the question! It is MORE than nice to have him home though - the girls are so happy and Lyss is heading off to the Bahamas on Tuesday with her Godmother and family. More later. I came across this meme at Karen's site (thanks Karen!) and thought I'd post it for lack of pictures and knitting content. Please forgive my lack of comments on your blogs, I haven't been able to focus on a computer screen all week - lots of catching up to do! Sorry to hear about the awful flu. I got hit with a much, much milder case on Thursday that only had me knocked out for one day. But my goodness, that headache was horrid, wasn't it? It woke me up in the night, and was in my dreams and everything. No knitting that day for me either.
Had fun reading your book list! You have a first edition copy of Gone With The Wind?? How cool!
Glad to hear you're feeling better! That can really wipe you out. Poor thing! You know you're sick when you don't touch your knitting. Hugs!

Oh.. I hate the flu! I'm such a baby when it comes to that stuff. Glad to hear you're feeling better and back to doing a bit of knitting.
I can't do the book meme. I would embarass myself by my lack of reading. I've only read about 1/2 of what you've read.
I'm so sorry to hear that you were so sick!
Please tell me that a headache directly above your eyebrows, straight across your forehead, wasn't the first symptom...as I developed such a headache yesterday and it's still with me today...
Glad you're on the mend now!
And really? You haven't read any of the Harry Potter books or The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy????
Get Better!!
The reading list makes me realize how pathetic my book reading habits have been over the last several years. I need to make it a daily habit and get back to the books.
Poor you, doesn't anybody in the US get the flu shot??? What's up with that...I've been getting that shot for 5 years straight now and haven't had the flu since. Well worth it, I recommend it highly. I'm glad your better though, don't mean to preach, I just remember how awful it can be...ciao
